From doodling dogs to designing in the real world.
I’ve been artsy since I was a kid. I spent lots of time drawing dogs, comics, people, and more dogs, as well as other creative pursuits.
In high school, I stressed over picking something to study in college. I ended up going with Business for its versatility, and then realized one day during a car ride that I wanted to give graphic design a try. I had stumbled upon this option when career-cruising in middle school, but didn’t fully understand what it was, but I had been interested in similar activities up to that point.
In high school, I enjoyed designing cover art for my tracks on Soundation – a digital audio workstation. I spent winter break
Today, I remain passionate about creative things outside of graphic design like music and writing. I enjoy cuddling with my new baby sister and being a positive influence to others.
As a graphic designer, I highly value the process of understand the client and their needs before brainstorming and sketching, as this results in a better solution than jumping in feet-first.
I also value uniqueness. This can be hard sometimes when there are only so many colors, or shapes, etc., and finding a new angle from which to see something really excites and even drives my process. Has for years.
